Veronica A. Johnson AKA V'Ronica

Let the MUSIC Speak!

V’Ronica is a country, gospel, and modern-soul musician from Las Vegas an independent recording artist. Growing in scope and depth with each new release, her style shares various qualities with that of Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Patti Labelle, and Whitney Houston. Empowering and encouraging music which reaches both the heart and soul, songs by V’Ronica build crowds, interest and emotion for recordings, performances and playlist spots which never fail to excite audiences anywhere.

Asked to describe her music personally, V’Ronica writes, “I write songs to touch the hearts of all people, songs which minister. I love to touch people where they are with relatable and relevant messages.”

V’Ronica's repertoire includes such drops as “Until This Is Over,” released September 2020 from Prodigee Records. “Until This Is Over” by V’Ronica continues to garner widespread critical and fan acclaim. Her smooth tone, mellow delivery and high-impact message on “Until This Is Over” have already made it a resounding success with a variety of audiences.

Talking about the overall themes of “Until This Is Over,” V’Ronica says it's a “universal song of healing and hope during this world pandemic and fight for justice and equality.”

Taking into account the manner in which V’Ronica came into music, it's easy to see how her sound has taken its present sound and form.

“I grew up in a home that played music all the time,” she says. “I would imitate specific singers male and female and family members would give me money to sing. When I realized I inspired people, I knew I had a gift to share and shouldn't keep it to myself.”

Music aside, V'Ronica is also known as Dr. Veronica A. Johnson, the author of When Hallelujah Hurts (link provided below).

An ordained minister originally from Decatur, Alabama, V'Ronica's first recording was the “2-Gether Project I” (1999), followed by the “2-Gether Project II” (2003). These releases received widespread radio circulation and are still requested today. V'Ronica has performed and ministered throughout the USA in the the east (Maryland, Virginia), the west (Nevada, California) and the south (Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee). She has also ministered and played internationally in both East and West Africa (Nigeria, Kenya) where a pastor gave her an African name: Onyinyechi, or, “God's Gift.”

V'Ronica knows this title to be a confirmation of her divine calling to release her God-given gifts of ministry and music into the world as “seeds deeply implanted into the hearts of God's people until healing and hope spring forth.”

To her listeners new and old, V’Ronica says: “Let the music speak. Music speaks where mere words fail to reach. Music is medicine. It heals and delivers. Let the healing begin.”
